Pet Sitter Boulder Colorado I was in the final strides of a solo marathon-training run when I spied a penny face-up on the trail. A cliche'? Okay, but it stopped me in my tracks. That penny led me to reassess my priorities in life and decide it was time to make a dream a reality.

Pet Training, Dog Walking From early on, dogs have been among my favorite companions, but my work–traveling all over North America and the EU for my technology company, TwoSeven–had made pet ownership seem implausible. Although I love my "nerd job," I secretly wanted to simplify my life, do something away from computers and offices and airplanes…outside with a best buddy. Running became a passion that calmed my restless mind and provided a workout I could take with me wherever I had to go.

Dog Exercise The first order of business in my life-priority re-org was to get myself a dog. Since I still have to travel for my work, I wanted a dog that could go with me everywhere and still had that "big dog" happy-go-lucky attitude. Enter Penny Pentola–"Penny" for obvious reasons, and "Pentola" is Italian for "sauce pan" or "pot." A saucy little gal, full of spunk and fire, she is my ever-ready adventure buddy, who lets me know each morning it's time to lace up the shoes and hit the trail.
